Progress Update – Agadir Melloul Mining Permits – 2025 Exploration Activities
Introduction
As part of its strategy to explore and secure critical mineral resources, Copernicus Mining Company has pursued a structured exploration program across the Agadir Melloul mining permits in 2025. These operations reflect the company’s long-term vision to build a portfolio of high-potential assets in Morocco, with a strong commitment to responsible and data-driven development.
The Agadir Melloul permits are located in a region historically known for its mineral occurrences, particularly within the High Atlas domain. The area presents promising geological formations with significant potential for polymetallic mineralization, including copper, lead, zinc, and associated silver anomalies.
During the 2025 campaign, the company carried out a combination of:
- Geological reconnaissance and detailed mapping;
- Geochemical sampling campaigns (stream sediments and soil grids);
- Structural and lithological interpretation based on remote sensing;
- Target definition for ground geophysics.
Technical support was provided by specialized consulting partners, ensuring compliance with exploration best practices and international standards.
Preliminary results identified several anomalous zones:
- Multi-element anomalies including Cu, Pb, Zn, and Ag;
- Zones of hydrothermal alteration and structural corridors interpreted as favorable for mineral concentration;
- Prioritization of targets for geophysical follow-up and possible trenching.
Maps and figures illustrating these findings are available for consultation (interactive formats under preparation for web version).
The results validate the geological potential of the Agadir Melloul permits and justify a second-phase program, which will include:
- Ground geophysical surveys (IP/Resistivity);
- Mechanical trenching and channel sampling;
- Preparation for scout drilling (subject to regulatory clearance and environmental screening).
This multi-phase approach aims to de-risk the targets and advance them toward resource definition.
Institutional Framework
All exploration activities are conducted under permits granted by Moroccan mining authorities, in line with national regulations. Copernicus Mining Company works in coordination with local stakeholders and remains committed to environmental stewardship and community engagement across its operations.
Conclusion
The 2025 exploration efforts confirm the strategic interest of the Agadir Melloul zone within Copernicus Mining’s broader exploration pipeline. These encouraging results reinforce the company’s confidence in developing quality assets through a disciplined, responsible and high-impact exploration program in Morocco.
